i read in an old post on the forum that you were unable to book a model because of the 'unfortunate timing of nature'... does this mean what i think it means? was she due her period on that date? or have i completely got the wrong end of the stick?!?! if i have sorry to give you any disturbing thoughts.

Yes, it was her period. Some models don't mind as they may be light.
For the thursday evening group in the not so nice surroundings of the local parish hall i wear a thong. for a few reasons really, one is a i run the group myself and its open to just anyone to come along...i did once have an inappropriate comment made by an 'artist', he had been once or twice and like i said before its a small town...another is that my husband and the step kids are happier with it that way...the other reason for me is that i do alot of short poses from 'lots of angles' to start the evening off with and the older artists have said they are not really interested in 'all the bits'...
then when a few of the regular artists want to get together i hire a proper studio and go fully nude for one or two long poses so they can work on one good drawing/painting...so that way i create extra work for myself!
when asked to model by a single artist or a class with a teacher i am happy to be fully nude. its no problem.

I think you are brave under the circumstances to 'even' go topless. But to me as an artist I don't see 'fully nude' as any 'worse' than topless (I hate the word topless by the way) but I understand if your community may do so, especially with the 'angled poses' as you put it. I too have limitations at my group making sure that I don't choose poses that over-reveal. A thong would fix this, but I think it turns the model into a pin-up rather than a classical nude.
Yeah I'm glad I was free, I'm more than happy to do it. I look forward to seeing the more detailed work that can be produced over longer periods.
